From the beginning of the last century, the main activities of the Poetto were related to the extraction of salt.

It was only at the end of the 19th century that the inhabitants of Cagliari began to move away from the town in the summer to pour into the coast, enjoy the "sea baths" and appreciate the white dunes that surrounded this corner of paradise.

In 1914, Gaetano Usai built the first structure of the Lido which reaches the present day with various improvements and restoration works, with the sole purpose of always giving the best to all those who flock to the historic establishment every day.

Today the Lido has over 1000 cabins of different sizes, a seaside restaurant, a bistro on the rotunda, a bar, a pizzeria, an ice cream parlor, an indoor and an outdoor disco, a lidoteca, a shopping center, an sports, skate, canoe and bike rental, marine first aid, a club house and areas reserved for events, toilets, cold and hot showers.

the establishment is open all year round for helium and balneotherapy while the bathing season begins on June 1st and ends on September 30th.
